Interval Invader

What students practice

Students practice counting intervals on the staff, seconds through octaves or steps and skips only, counting every line and space between the cannon's note and the target note, including the cannon's own note as 1.

How to play

Players press keys 2 through 8 to fire that interval, and press Up or Down to pick direction in Up & Down mode; letting three invaders through ends the mission, and a miss has the machine count the interval out.

Teacher Setup

Teacher Setup lets a teacher choose which intervals are in play, whether counting direction is included, whether letter names are shown on the notes, whether the answer is shown on a miss, and the speed; the end screen offers a printable list of intervals to practice.
