What students practice
Students practice rounding numbers, since the incoming comet hits every pad whose number rounds to the comet's number, leaving only one safe pad to find.
How to play
Players round each pad's number in their head, then use the left and right arrow keys, or the number keys, to move to the one safe pad, and press Space to lock in, with faster locks scoring more. Getting hit three times ends the mission, and a number line appears after each comet showing where every number rounds.
Teacher Setup
Teacher Setup lets a teacher choose Grade 3, Grade 4, Grades 5-6, or All rounding skills, and include halfway numbers such as 35, 450, and 6.5 that round up. A printable student report has students round each number to practice.
