Grid Ghost

MemoryGrid CoordinatesGrades 3–6Keyboard

What students practice

Students practice naming map grid coordinates, reading column letter first and then row number, in either grid-reference style (A3) or ordered-pair style ((3,2)).

How to play

Players press a letter key and then a number key to name each remembered square (Backspace or Left clears), naming all the squares in a haunt before the containment field empties; letting three ghosts escape ends the mission.

Teacher Setup

Teacher Setup lets a teacher set the chart size, how many squares the ghost haunts per trail, the coordinate style, whether the answer is shown on a miss, and the speed; the end screen offers a printable list of squares to practice.

Play it in Starship Arcade

Grid Ghost is one of 16 games in the Memory room, a members room on the Promenade.
