Touch Type Trial
What students practice
Students practice typing with the correct hand for each letter, noticing that letters are marked in purple for the left hand and blue for the right hand, while keeping their fingers resting on F and J.
How to play
Players type each letter of a word correctly to drop one plank of a bridge, finishing the word so a cadet can cross before the bridge runs out. A wrong key stops the bridge and shows the correct key and the finger that types it, and that word returns later; losing three shields ends the run.
Teacher Setup
Teacher Setup lets a teacher choose the word lists, from alternating-hand words to one-hand-at-a-time or everything, set the word length and speed, and turn off a next-key light so eyes stay on the word instead of the keys; the end screen offers a printable student report listing the skills to practice.
