Ear Trainer
What students practice
Students practice telling major chords (bright, happy, middle note 4 half steps above the root) from minor chords (dark, sad, middle note 3 half steps above the root) by ear.
How to play
Players press Higher or Lower, or the arrow keys, to tune the middle string, hearing the chord change with every turn, then press Space or Enter to lock in, with L replaying the signal; letting a signal reach the dish costs a shield, and three shields ends the mission.
Teacher Setup
Teacher Setup lets a teacher choose which chord moods are in play, which root notes are used, whether note names are hidden so the answer must be heard by ear, whether the answer is shown on a miss, and the speed; the end screen offers a printable list of chords to practice.
