Tangram Track
What students practice
Students practice composing shapes from the seven tangram pieces, choosing only the pieces that fill a given outline exactly with no gaps or overlaps, and can learn how two small triangles form the square, the parallelogram, or a larger triangle.
How to play
Players press number keys 1 through 7 to send a tangram piece into a bridge-shaped hole, filling it so the train can cross. Choosing a piece that does not fit, or letting the train reach an unfinished gap, shows how the shape is built from its pieces, and that shape returns later; three stuck trains end the run.
Teacher Setup
Teacher Setup lets a teacher set the shape sizes in play and whether area is labeled in square units or as a fraction of the whole seven-piece set, plus speed and whether the answer is shown after a miss; the end screen offers a printable student report listing the shapes to practice.
