Anagram Alley
What students practice
Students practice spelling by unscrambling a rack of letters into the correct word, guided by a meaning clue at the bottom of the screen, with word lists and word length (three to six letters) set by a teacher, and an option to hide the meaning clue for a harder pure anagram puzzle.
How to play
Players use the left and right arrow keys to pick a letter, the space bar to grab it, and the arrow keys again to walk it to its new spot and drop it with the space bar; each move costs clamp charge, so guessing wildly runs it out. Solving a rack in the fewest moves earns a clean sort bonus; three jammed racks ends the shift. A miss has the machine spell the word before it returns later.
Teacher Setup
Teacher Setup lets a teacher choose which word lists are in play, the word length, whether the meaning clue is shown, the speed, and whether the word is spelled out after a miss. The end-of-shift report includes a printable list of words to practice.
