Ocean Orbit

GeographyOceans and SeasGrades 3–6Keyboard

What students practice

Students practice locating oceans, seas, gulfs, and bays on a world globe, either by name or by a descriptive clue such as the sea between two named countries.

How to play

Players hold the arrow keys to turn and tilt the globe, line the named water up inside a ring in the middle, and press Space to scan. Scanning too slowly or picking the wrong water costs one of three shields, and a miss turns the globe to show the right water before it comes back later.

Teacher Setup

Teacher Setup lets a teacher switch between naming the water directly or asking by clue, show continent names on the globe, set the speed, and choose whether a miss reveals the answer. A printable student report lists waters to practice.
