Punctuation Port
What students practice
Students practice using punctuation marks correctly in context, routing crates carrying a period, comma, question mark, apostrophe, or other mark to whichever of three docked ships has a sentence missing that exact mark, with a teacher able to narrow practice to end marks, commas, or apostrophes only.
How to play
Players press the left and right arrow keys, or keys 1, 2, and 3, to throw the junction switch before a crate reaches it, routing the crate to the correct ship. Rising water costs a hull for each ship that sails without its mark, and three lost hulls closes the port. A wrong routing has the port show what the sentence needed.
Teacher Setup
Teacher Setup lets a teacher choose which punctuation is in play (everything, end marks, commas, or apostrophes) and the speed, which controls how many ships are docked at once rather than how fast crates travel. The end-of-run report includes a printable list of sentences to practice.
