Tap Trial
What students practice
Students practice the relationships between distance, speed, and time, including distance equals speed times time, time equals distance divided by speed, and speed equals distance divided by time.
How to play
A card gives two of the three values; players press 1 through 4, or the arrow keys and Enter, to pick the beacon with the right answer, and the ship flies there one hop per second to prove it while racing a ghost ship. If the ghost reaches the flag first, one of three shields is lost, and a wrong beacon shows the math before that question returns.
Teacher Setup
Teacher Setup lets a teacher choose which speeds are in play, from 2, 3, 5, and 10 up through all speeds, and set whether the longest trip or the units are shown, plus the speed setting and whether a miss reveals the answer. A printable student report lists skills to practice.
