Knot Navigator

PuzzlesOne-Stroke PathsGrades 3–6Keyboard

What students practice

Students practice Euler path logic, counting the lanes at each beacon to decide where a one-stroke path can start: anywhere if every beacon has an even number of lanes, at one of two odd beacons if exactly two are odd, or nowhere if more than two are odd.

How to play

Players press a beacon's letter key to travel to it along an open lane, completing every lane exactly once before the knot tightens, and press N to declare No Path when more than two beacons have an odd number of lanes. Getting stuck has the game fly the correct route for the student to study before trying again.

Teacher Setup

Teacher Setup lets a teacher include knots that require spotting a no-path case, set the knot size, and choose helper settings, plus the speed and whether the answer is shown after a miss; the end screen offers a printable student report that explains the one-stroke rule and lists the skills to practice.
