Nonogram Nova
What students practice
Students practice nonogram logic, reading a row clue such as 3 1 to mean three filled squares, a gap, then one filled square, and using locked hint squares to reason out where the remaining blocks must go.
How to play
Players use the arrow keys to move, space to fill a square, X to mark it empty, Enter to check a row, and number keys 1 through 9 and 0 to jump to a square directly, completing a row the instant it matches its clue, before the fuse reaches the nova. A missed row shows the answer and that clue returns later; three flares end the mission.
Teacher Setup
Teacher Setup lets a teacher set the picture size from 5 squares wide up to 10, and the number of locked hint squares already filled in, plus speed and whether the answer is shown after a miss; the end screen offers a printable student report listing the clues to practice.
