Loop Logic

What students practice

Students practice working backwards through a chain of operations such as plus 3, minus 5, times 2, or divide by 4, finding the one missing link that brings a value back to its starting number.

How to play

Players press number keys 1 through 4, or the arrow keys and Enter, to choose the missing link in the loop before its ring closes. A wrong choice breaks the loop and shows the correct link; breaking three loops ends the mission.

Teacher Setup

Teacher Setup lets a teacher set which operations appear in the loop, the number range, how many links make up a loop, and the speed, plus whether the answer is shown after a miss; the end screen offers a printable student report listing the loops to practice.
