Percent Pulse

MathPercentagesGrades 3–6Keyboard

What students practice

Students practice percentages, working out what a given order asks for (a percent, a dollar amount, or a unit count) and locking onto that value as a pulse sweeps a 0 to 100 rail, with percents limited to benchmarks (25, 50, 75) or opened up to any percent.

How to play

Players press the space bar or enter to lock the pulse the instant it crosses the calculated value on the rail; a dead-on lock scores as a perfect lock for extra points. Each order has a hold timer, and letting three run out shuts the core down. A wrong lock has the reactor show the correct answer on the rail before that order returns later.

Teacher Setup

Teacher Setup lets a teacher choose which order types are in the manifest, which percents are in play, the speed (how long an order waits and how many queue up), and whether the answer is shown after a miss. The end-of-run report includes a printable list of skills to practice.
