Food Chain Fleet

What students practice

Students practice ordering food chains starting from the sun and a plant and then each animal that eats the one before it, across land habitats, water habitats, or both, and recognizing that decomposers are never the next link.

How to play

A tug carries an energy cell; players press the arrow keys, or a pod's number key, to fly to the next living thing in the chain. The cell drains while deciding, running it flat breaks the chain, three broken chains end the mission, and a wrong link has the fleet hold still while the machine explains who eats what before asking again.

Teacher Setup

Teacher Setup lets a teacher choose All Five habitats, Land Only, or Water Only, and set how many living things each chain runs through. A printable student report lists links to practice.
